What counts as a 'conversation' in my monthly limit?

A conversation is a single session between a user and your deployed agent, from the first message to the last. If the same user starts a new chat session later, that counts as a separate conversation. Conversations that are escalated to a human agent still count toward your limit since the AI agent handled the initial interaction. Sandbox testing conversations do not count toward your production limit.

Can I switch plans or upgrade mid-billing cycle?

Yes, you can upgrade at any time and the price difference is prorated for the remainder of your billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle to ensure you retain access to your current features for the period you have already paid for. If you need to downgrade immediately, contact support and we will work with you.

What happens if I exceed my conversation limit?

Accepted Answer

We do not cut off your agents mid-month. If you approach your limit, we will notify you at 80% and 95% usage. If you exceed your limit, conversations continue to work and we charge $0.05 per additional conversation on Starter, $0.03 on Growth, and $0.02 on Scale. If overages become consistent, we will recommend upgrading to the next tier where the per-conversation cost is lower.

Is there a free trial or free tier?

We offer a 14-day free trial on the Growth plan so you can test with multiple agents and full analytics. No credit card is required to start the trial. After the trial, you can choose any plan or downgrade to Starter. We do not offer a permanent free tier because our dedicated infrastructure model means every customer has real costs from day one.

Do you offer discounts for annual billing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, annual billing saves approximately 15% compared to monthly billing. Starter drops from $199/month to $169/month ($2,028/year), Growth from $399/month to $339/month ($4,068/year), and Scale from $599/month to $509/month ($6,108/year). Annual plans are billed as a single payment at the start of the year.

What is included in 'dedicated infrastructure' and why does it matter?

Every Rach.Dev customer gets isolated compute, database, and storage resources that no other customer shares. This means another customer's traffic spike cannot slow down your agents or database, there is zero risk of cross-tenant data leakage, and you can demonstrate to auditors exactly where your data lives. This is different from most platforms that run shared multi-tenant infrastructure where a noisy neighbor can degrade your performance.

Can I bring my own database or migrate from another provider?

Yes. If you have an existing PostgreSQL database, we can migrate your schema, data, and connections to Rach.Dev. On Growth plans, we provide assisted migration where our team handles the technical details. On Scale plans, we offer white-glove migration with zero-downtime cutover.
